I'd hazard corundum - but nowhere do I see you state the size. The photos only imply what the size may be. 6.9 grams or, were it a diamond, almost 35ct! So size suggest a corundum

Looks like a water worn piece of colorless corundum found in a placer deposit. Measured SG fits corundum and trigons on basal pinacoid faces also fits.

Is not so rare find relocated specimens far away from its origin for a variety of reasons, someones really amazing.

Hi to everybody!
Please keep in mind that diamond has a hardness of 10 according to the Mohs grading, but each diamond specimen takes a hardness which is VERY different from the other specimens' one. Once the diamond sclerometer was widely used by gemmologists in order to try the hardness of an unknown gemstone, but nowadays it is no longer used because it is considered dangerous even for another diamond gemstone, thus risking to ruin it!
My conclusion is: a simple scratching test is NOT decisive to exclude the unknown crystal is a diamond!
