Dear Frederic: One cannot say enough about the glorious photos that you continue to amaze us with, but I find myself also in awe of the specimens that you are photographing. Would you be willing to tell us more about them? Are they all yours? How have you been able to identify the rarer species? You are a young man, how long have you been collecting?

It's important for me to make quality pictures. I am demanding of myself and with others. This is not always well perceived.

For specimens, some people send me these specimens (geologists and connoisseurs). The identification of specimens was made ​​by them. Their hobby is to collect worldwide. I also went to Munich for other specimens. During my vacation, I also collect when I can in French and alpine areas. Finally, for those pictures I developed my own technique with a very .... atypical method. Some people should join me soon.

All specimens are in my collection. Most are not currently accessible as everything is stored in boxes due to relocation. I expect a building permit for a green house ... with a roof with plants.
