Hello everyone my name's David. I'm from the UK , and I collect rocks and fossils on the beach.
We were very lucky years ago to have our beaches all replenished. The material used was dredged from some miles off shore, up to 7 meters deep and pumped onto our beaches.
I missed out in the beginning. The fossils etc. were everywhere. Thousands of mammoth teeth / bones etc. scattered our shorelines. I didn't know what I was looking for in the beginning, so missed more than I found.
Don't know much now, so was hoping for a little help from you guys.
I've had some items that I collected for years now, and thought it's about time I started learning what they are instead of them just sitting in the cupboard.
Thank you. |

David
This is a mineral forum not a fossil one, so it is unlikely we can help much (some people collect both but many do not). I would suggest you search for a fossil forum, in the UK, or a local fossil collecting groups. Search for 'Essex fossil collectors' and see what you find |
