Nice set of serandite.
The rather pale shade surprises me a little.

Hi Roger, most probably that specimen is in fact schizolite and, from its look, may quite well be from the famous 1981 find. I got several years ago a similar specimen as serandite and I suspect it is schizolite as well.

Best regards,

Felix Garcia

Maybe, but the Schizolites I had analyzed from St. Hilaire were mostly of a somewhat brown color (similar to the 'marshallsussmanites' color), not pale pink in color.

In any case, only a proper analysis could determine it, I believe.

Thank you for your suggestion which I find relevant.
The photo matches that of Mindat.
This mineral (also a pyroxenoide) is perhaps more interesting, from the point of view of collection, than serandite.
What do you think about this?
Best regards.

That is an absolutely lovely Malachite specimen, but I am very biased, I adore Malachite, especially the botyroidal variety. It was the first mineral I acquired as a collector.

Incidentally what is the size of the specimen?
