Thank you all. I originally had this post in introductions, as I'm not truly a new member, but it does feel like my collection is new.
Tobi, thank you, I suppose everything is relative. I am proud of my collection, but have been spending a lot of time watching the Bluecap content, so I may have to temper my expectations. :)
Although, I have a couple pieces on the way that I'm very excited about. I will get my camera out when they arrive, and post some decent pics in the gallery of those, and the many other pieces I have added to my collection since I last posted here.

Hello,
I'm Cristiano, a Portuguese living in Brazil for some years.
I love to find and collect minerals since I was a child.
Joined the forum to view other people's minerals and share some of mine.
Thanks.

Hello Folks,
I was told it was preferred that new people post an introduction. I live in southwest Virginia and I'm looking to learn what I can on here.
I'm in an area that seems to have a lot of volcanic activity, but I figured I'd save that for an ID post so as not to be redundant.
I have bedrock that's basically gneiss with specks, bands, and veins of blue quartz. It consists of feldspar and mica as well. Some of the rock appears to be a type of mylonite and some of it appears to be possibly pegmatite.
I'm also finding quartz prisms near this which adds to me thinking this may be a type of pegmatite. A small portion of the blue quartz has borderline gem quality as I've had someone make a small cab out of it that allowed light to pass through.
Question: Is there a way to upload more than one picture at a time? It seems to be that when I click "add image" there's only one image that can be uploaded, and clicking that a second time deletes what I previously uploaded.

Welcome to the Forum,
Multiple images (up to 15) can be included in a single post. After you have uploaded an image with the appropriate information, click on the preview button. That will bring you back to the form where you can add additional images to your post. Once you are satisfied with your entries, click the submit button to post your message.

Hello my name is Roberto and I am an avid mineral collector or so I think I am. Love the artistry of the minerals and I'm passionate about them. Love to collect from all locales of the world. Currently, looking to collect more European minerals. Love to read, learn and research about minerals. Still a novice but that's why I am here. Thanks all and have a great day.

Welcome
Do note that if you wish to use the Spanish side, which is a separate forum, you will need to create a separate account there.
