Though I'm not an epidote fan, I like your Peruvian specimen! Quite large crystals for the species and a good contrast with the matrix. Beautiful piece!

Yes, Tobi, I found them last weekend. This location is always good for bad weather trips, you can reach it in 20 minutes walking distance. Especially in spring, they use some gravel material from the dumps for repair works of the forest roads, and then you have access to fresh dump material!

Hello Tobi, I was told that these quartzes were mined for a short time in WWII as oscillation quartzes for radio equipment, due to their clearness! Volkmar
