Hello Folks,
I was told it was preferred that new people post an introduction. I live in southwest Virginia and I'm looking to learn what I can on here.
I'm in an area that seems to have a lot of volcanic activity, but I figured I'd save that for an ID post so as not to be redundant.
I have bedrock that's basically gneiss with specks, bands, and veins of blue quartz. It consists of feldspar and mica as well. Some of the rock appears to be a type of mylonite and some of it appears to be possibly pegmatite.
I'm also finding quartz prisms near this which adds to me thinking this may be a type of pegmatite. A small portion of the blue quartz has borderline gem quality as I've had someone make a small cab out of it that allowed light to pass through.
Question: Is there a way to upload more than one picture at a time? It seems to be that when I click "add image" there's only one image that can be uploaded, and clicking that a second time deletes what I previously uploaded.

Welcome to the Forum,
Multiple images (up to 15) can be included in a single post. After you have uploaded an image with the appropriate information, click on the preview button. That will bring you back to the form where you can add additional images to your post. Once you are satisfied with your entries, click the submit button to post your message.
