And the banner of "Mineralworld".
The Show is divided in four sections and four pavilions:
Mineralworld (minerals and mineralogy)
Gemworld (gems & fine jewellery)
Fossilworld (fossils)
Stoneworld (design and accesories related with rocks)
not necessary mention which section is my favorite! ;-)

To me, the Munich Show should rank on an equal status, if not better than Tucson's main show at the Convention Center. The exhibits area is very creative in its design - and it is usually a new design every year! Also, one of the features I like best is that there are no satellite shows, so the evenings are for winding down and having a good dinner with friends. _________________ Susan Robinson

Susan, we'd agree. While we love the displays at the TGMS Show, Munich is now our favorite. Excellent variety, infrastructure and activities within the show, plus no need for a car or even to stay out near the messe. Munich's excellent public transit system makes it easy to go between the city center and the show in about 20 minutes, so we always stay in the old city where we can enjoy the restaurants, markets and nightlife with ease.

One of the best features of the new web page of the Mineralientage ( https://mineralientage.de/ ) is the possibility to buy tickets on line, with all these avantages:
•You will save money by purchasing at attractive pre-sale prices
•With your ticket already printed out you won’t have to wait at the ticket shops, you can enter the show directly
•In combination with your online-ticket you will receive the show guide at a preferential rate and can take your own copy to the show

So if Gail is not going to München - who else will make a 1000-photo-report for FMF?! ;-)
THE question! ;-)
I hope that all FMFers will do the same as they did it past year -> https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=1385
Please FMFers replace the irreplaceable, and cover the non 1000 Gail's photos with your own photos and vision of the Show! _________________ Audaces fortuna iuvat

I will be there with Camera in hand, not that I will get to the 1000 photo mark, although I will post a few. Should be a great time! _________________ Regards,

I'm affraid I can't come. It is one day driving, but I can tell you that the conrector isn't giving me a day off. I hope to be there next year. So I'm giving you advice: Have fun and a good time in München!
P.S. What a lovely Kongsberg silver, looks just a tree!

The preparation of the Fair is ending and gradually began the exodus to Munich so it's time to start to talk about minerals ;-)
To my knowledge, it seems that the iron mines of Huanggang, in Inner Mongolia, China, will be again one of the stars of the show. They did it the past year with its exceptional Ilvaites and it seems that also this year will offer some exciting novelties.

We'll see...
I am looking forward to confirming the hedenbergites, dodecahedral magnetites from this new find. As well as the yellow and green andradites. Please, keep us up the date, if possible

There is definitely Hedenbergite from there. I will post some photos of specimens I just got on my collection thread sometime today (I need to measure them). My friend just returned and will be having many more novelties soon, including datolite specimens, many garnets and fluorites. I will not have any of these for a few weeks, as they are still on the boat from China.
