On December 26, 2017, Diana Weinrich passed away in her home, unexpectedly.
53 years old was far too young and she will be greatly missed. Many of you knew her, or of her. Diana, with her husband Dan, own Weinrich Minerals. Jim and I are attending her funeral today. She was loved by many. I will write more once we are home. Our hearts are breaking.

Like many others, I was a participant in their online auctions. Last saw Diana at the fall Affton, Mo Gem & Mineral show. She was always very kind and gracious, I enjoyed seeing Dan & Diana in the Blue Cap mineral DVD's. Deepest regards to Dan and family.

Very sad news. It leaves an empty place in the world. Our thoughts go out to Dan.

Sad news indeed. We have purchased many specimens from them over the years and always enjoyed visiting with them in Denver, Tucson, and at their home. Diana brought a spirited and cheery personality to their business and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our sincere condolences to Dan and the rest of the family.

I met Dan many, many years ago in a room in the second building of the Executive Inn and although it was clear that he was going to be a great dealer, what gave him even more of Diana was the happiness that both of them showed in all their acts.
Diana was the thunder, the light, the energy and the "joie de vivre".
I accompany you in your sorrow Dan, no doubt must be as deep as no one excepting you can feel.

Deeply depressed. I met her once at Munich show. Seems incredible. She was an active and intelligent woman. I feel very sorry for Dan.

Well, it's been a whirlwind week. Jim and I booked our flights at 1:30 am to fly up for the viewing on Friday, just before new years eve. We arrived in time to go directly to the funeral home and pay our respects. We had met many of Dan and Diana's family over the last few years, it was a sad way to see them again, but they were very glad we had come. Courtney Barnett was a brave soul for driving from Fort Worth, Texas, to Missouri. Kudos to her for coming to pay her respects. The weather was freezing cold.
Dan was holding up as well as one can expect. He was able to talk to us about Diana's passing. It seems it was a blood clot in her lung. Diana had braved open heart surgery a while back, and had fought breast cancer, type II diabetes. She never let any of that slow her down! She was an amazing, vibrant and energetic woman!
We all had a margarita in honor of her life that evening.
Funeral was the next day. There really is never enough tissue. It was so sad, her young nieces and nephews were looking a bit dazed, as though they hadn't figured out she was really gone. But then, I think that was true of all of us.
They laid her to rest with her beloved Stephanie. Her daughter preceded her in death and it was her wish to be with her.
Dan will be in Tucson, he needs to carry on. Please, take the time to shake his hand and offer condolences. And, buy something if you can.
My heart is still breaking.
Go hug your family, tell them you love them.
