Hi all, here are some impressions from the "Alpine Schätze" (Alpine Treasures) exhibition that takes currently place in the Marburg Mineralogical Museum.

Single crystal of epidote from the famous Knappenwand, Austria. Height 10 cm.

Two specimens of Habach Valley emerald. The specimen in front has a width of 5 cm, the one in the back has twice the width.

Last but not least a specimen which is "alpine" not by the geographical but by geological meaning (but nobody will complain about this being a part of the exhibition, i think): A glowing 10 cm emerald sculpture from Pakistan. (Sorry for the fuzzy picture.)

Jesse, sure there was some. But you know the market value of it ... too much for the museum's budget ;-)
