Hi Vincent, thank you for posting your pictures! Your minerals are really aesthetic and fine; my personal favourites are the blue fluorite from Denton mine (great one!) and the two aquamarine specimens. Please keep sharing your rocks with us :-)

Cheers!

Hello Vincent!

Very good photos and nice specimens. Congratulations!

Several localities, however, are missing ('Fluor on dolo.jpg', 'Green elb.jpg', and 'small aqua.jpg'). Could you please provide them?

In addition, for the FMF to work properly it would be better to group several photos together in one single post as most forum members do. This way we all can prevent the automatic email system that notifies the users from being overloaded.

But don't refrain from posting. Please, keep doing it.

Thanks,

Sorry guys I am unsure how to directly edit the post. The Fluorite on Dolostone is from Elmwood mine, Smith County, TN.

The green Elbaite on Quartz is from the Mawi pegmatite, Afghanistan.

Will post multiple photos on next update. Thanks so much for the comments.

Hi Vincent:

Congratulations for the nice specimens posted; I am sure that your morganite crystal on albite came from the Urucum mine, Galiléia, Minas Gerais, probably from a big find made in 1973; the inclusions of small dark green tourmaline crystals, that start from a internal plane parallel to the prism face, and also the pyramidal faces on the edge of the prism (on the top right of the photo), alternating with short basal pinacoid faces, resulting in sucessive steps pyramid-pinacoid, are also typical from the morganite crystals found in that pocket.

Luiz

Luiz you are 100% correct, this was an ex Gary Hansen piece that he purchased in the 70's. I have a hard time telling if the tourmaline is green or black, but my eyesight is not so good. Thanks for the comment

I really like your fluorites. The ones you recently posted (Rogerley Mine, Elmwood Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Uis/Namibia) as well as the ones before. Keep 'em coming!

Hi Vincent!

Nice fluorites. But are you sure Elmwood mine is in Illinois?
