Thanks Van. I already added "?" to the locality (in https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=17972#17972 )
It could be reasonable re-label it as from Casco? |

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't remember there being two different garnets on this page. The Phippsburg specimen looks OK. The "Rumford" one still looks like it is from the Casco or Limerick localities. Maine has a fair number of large grossular crystal localities.

Excellent. BTW When writing a reply to a post, the "reply page" is different than the posting page. You must leave the page where one can view the images/comments. It is helpful to refer back to the images when writing comments. Yes, the writer could open a new tab, but when one has a lot of tabs already open, this can be inconvenient.

Is how phpBB works Van. It has some advantages and some inconveniences as every software.
We improved (and we are still improving) phpBB A LOT and it waste thousands (sic) hours of our life, so probably some inconveniences will remain because every time we touch the original source code, many unexpected disasters happens and our work time is limited (only 36 hours per day ;-) but anyway, we note your suggestion and hopefully some future day we can apply it (I don't promise it!!! ;-) ;-) |
