The Friends of Mineralogy will once again hold its annual mineral symposium at the Tucson Convention Center, Saturday, February 12, 2011. The symposium is jointly sponsored with the Mineralogical Society of America and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society.
Here is the program:

10:00 a.m. Introductory Remarks

10:05 a.m. The Oceanview Mine: Pala's Newest Gem

10:30 a.m. The California Blue Pegmatite

11:00 a.m. The Little Three pegmatite mine, Ramona, California

Could there be any plan to video these? Perhaps put them up on You Tube? |

Hi Matt
That is an excellent idea, but sadly the FM Symposium is not taped. The only time the symposium was taped was for the American Mineral Treasures in 2008. Look for that DVD from Blue Cap Productions.
I'll see if we can make this happen in 2012, but it will not happen this year. |
