Hi Everyone,

That is an interesting gold specimen Jordi. I have yet to come across some gold crystals of any kind. Some day.

I have a couple of the usual quality of specimens, but they are from Nevada and not your average mineral.

Arthurite 01b.JPG
 Description:
Here is a bright green encrustation of Arthurite from Copper Stope, Majuba Hill Mine, Antelope District, Pershing County, Nevada. The speecimen is about 1 3/4" x 1 3/8" (4.45 x 3.49 cm)

Pottsite 01c.JPG
 Description:
As is the case with most of my type locality minerals this is not real showy. The bright yellow crust is Pottsite from Linka Mine, Spencer Hot Springs District, near Potts, Lander county, Nevada. The piece is about 1 1/8" x 1" (2.86 x 2.54 cm)

From the Marion Godshaw collection. Found buried in a back bedroom, while moving the collection to Cal Graebers for resale. Been in my collection ever since (1989). Extemely rare and known only from this location.

That's the idea of all these threads Jim, publish most possible diversified images from all States, so I encourage everybody to publish all images they could have of every State, even with an "usual quality".

More images we enlist, more mineralogical information we will have of every State! ;-)

Collected by Havey Gordon and Steve Rose in Nov. 1988. Harvey sold it to Cal Graber and it then made its way into my collecion in April 1989. At the time it was the best Topaz Harvey had collected at the site, and to the best of my knowledge is the only green one ever found there, (per conversations with Harvey). He was one the the nicest people you could ever come accross.

One more Baryte from Nevada. I am afraid it is far away from the Mizunaka's great pics. Nevertheless, here you have.

This Nevada piece is from the mining heyday of the 2001 to 2005 period. Only a few pieces were found, and I was fortunate to get one from Casey Jones.

NV01a.jpg
 Description:
Stibnite on Baryte

Deep Post Mine, Lynn District North of Carlin, Eureka County, Nevada, USA

70 x 57 x 45 mm

Bright, silvery-grey Stibnite crystals to 11 mm, forming radiating sprays, are perched on very pale yellow Baryte crystals to 15 mm across, ranging from block to tabular in habit. Only a few spots of trivial bruising can be seen with a loupe on a few Barytes. This is one of only a few undamaged specimens from a zone consisting of a few small pockets. Casey acquired three specimens in early January 2005 in trade with a geologist working at the mine, and this is the only one with good proportions of both Baryte and Stibnite.
