Just a note about Michael Siegel, owner of the Aurora West mineral dealership. Mike was a fixture at the Tucson show for years and an enthusiastic importer of Brazilian minerals and large decorator amethyst geodes of the highest quality and size. Michael pasted away last week after a short illness that surprised and saddened all who knew him. After seeing him in Denver this year as his usual self, stong, full of piss and vinegar, it seems unbelievable that he is gone. He will be missed deeply by family and friends. Rest in Peace Mike, and thanks for bringing beauty and wonder to us all.

That is terrible news. Mike was a wonderful friend and a credit to the business. I looked forward eagerly to seeing him at shows and he always had some exciting things to show me. He will be sorely missed by his many friends. My sympathies to his family and in particular his brother Harvey whom I have also been very fortunate to come to know very well. A sad, sad day.
