This Land in the southwest of Germany includes some of Germany’s most important mineral localities (not for industrial use but for collectors), e.g. the “Gem City” of Idar-Oberstein with its once large amethyst and agate occurrences or Bad Ems, where Germany’s most famous and most desired pyromorphites came from.

The Wissen mining district is another well-known source of minerals in the Palatinian part of the Siegerland. The most important mines were Eupel (dolomite, chalcopyrite), Friedrich (maybe the best German malachites, anglesite, millerite, type locality for hauchecornite) and Vereinigung near Katzwinkel (dolomite, chalcopyrite).

[By accident i posted the next one in the North Rhine-Westphalia thread - now i moved it into the right place (thanks to Andreas Gerstenberg for the advice)].
Here's another classic from a locality of that German Land - a chalcopyrite from Georg Mine (also famous for its bournonites and tetrahedrites):

Yes, these are the so-called Gonderbach-twins. Named after the famous Gonderbach mine near Bad Laasphe, Siegerland.

What about some micros? Volcanic rocks from Eifel show an impressive variety of nice crystals.

Nice micro, Pablo. The Ringseitert volcano is not a very frequently seen locale for minerals - even in Germany.

Specimens from the Georg mine were already shown, now i had the chance to get a better chalco as well as a fine tetrahedrite:

Sphalerite was rather rare, compared to bournonite and chalcopyrite.
