Hi James,
I am not aware of a location in Brazil that produces Tiger Eye. Your specimen is more likely from South Africa.

Thanks Michael, much appreciated!
I was just going off the card that came with the specimen, I will take those with a pinch of salt next time, and do my research before posting up.

Hi James. I was surprised at the 'Brazilian' Tigers eye. Can you believe that you need an export permit to export tigers eye from SA?! Yet it is a very common mineral here. I like your photography and presentation of specimens. Please keep them coming. Regards:-)

Please James, don't include labels in your images. When something is wrong like the "Tigers eye", yes, we can change the captions and cut the photos in order to delete the labels as I already did, but it is a lot of work, so please in the future don't include labels in your photos. Thank you.

Thanks Pierre, I have done some research and apparently it can be found in Brazil, I will post up a location when I find one for reference. Are there many minerals that need a licence to export?
Jordi, I was going to change the captions myself, I didn't mean to cause you or any other admin any work. I accept full responsibility for the images I contribute.
Oh and thanks for the more accurate mineralogical name for tiger eye, I must admit I didnt know that!
Apologies & thanks for the feedback guys, seems this forum is the place to be!

Sorry, now I see. I cannot edit photos once they are uploaded, or edit a post after a while.
I will refrain from labelling my images hereon.
