Just a few point and shoot shots with a crap camera for your perusal. As part of the show staff, it's always a pleasure working to make a successful show for vendors and attendees. Hope everyone had a good time. I come away from these events in a mineral trance. I swear I need to get out into the field.

This is why I like regional shows. These garnets are from a long known, recently developed location an hour from my home. The graphite matrix was carefully abraded on the front and rear in order to shine a light through them. Impressive Garnets to 1 cm or better.

Not seen in these shots is the subtle, selective green shading that some of these clusters have. I've got it, you heard it here first. Amethyst Verde!! I must trade mark.

I find the lab grown quartz pretty interesting. It is approaching natural looking crystal. Maybe not.

Spectacular specimens. Thanks for posting, Vic. Hope you have time to go around and enjoy when you're not working. Please keep the pictures coming.
