PostPosted: Jul 31, 2017 17:22    Post subject: Iron Man

A year ago, my good friend, Muhammad Fasihuddin Makki came walking across the lot at the Granada Ave show in Tucson, with a Cheshire Cat grin on his face and a box of rock under his arm. He has a very nice booth there and I'm site manager, so at time's over the years he has shown me mineral specimens and tested my knowledge in identification. I may have impressed him once or twice with my shocking lack of proficiency in such endeavors, so he opened his flat and asked if I could make an identification of the purchase he had just made. The first thing that came to mind was rather rude and it had to do with Iron Man and pubic hair, but, I'll leave that there. I shared my thoughts with him and he continued that the vendor he had received these rare and one of a kind specimens from, assured him that they were completely natural and the dealer had witnessed them collected in situ. We laughed and shared a few more rude remarks. He smiled, turned and said over his shoulder, "File those in the proper systematic location, over by the dumpster, when you're done examining them." More grinning as I closed the lid.

Guys, this is neither a hairy meteorite nor steel wool - it's Chuck Norris' beard ;-)

It came to me that this is a good thread to post this image of Fasi on his way to the Disco Ball deposit. Iron Man.
