We have been working for the last few weeks on identifying and cataloguing the collection of Dave Walls, in this process we have come across a few rare and unique finds, I’ll add a few pictures of the rare Finds to this thread, starting with this specimen of Papagoite.
This Specimen is one of the specimens in the collection on which the number is still clearly visible so matching it to its card was relatively easy, and we’ve also had a third part verify it for us.
The Specimen card provides the following information.
Specimen No: 117
Mineral: Papagoite (In Quartz)
Chemical Formula: CaCuALSi2O6(OH)3
Locality : Messina, Northern Transvaal (Limpopo)
Crystal: Monoclinic
Colour: Blue Stain
Bought From: D.Glover, From a very rare find dated to 1926

It seems to be a Papagoite and also a very fine specimen. Congratulations!
