Hi Arash.

Welcome to FMF.

If you want you can tell us something about you and your museum in the link:

Presentation of new members - Reference Thread

And we have a fórum called “Collector´s page” where you can share your specimens, but please before read and use: How does "Collection Photos" work?

Thanks and we are looking forward to see your minerals from Irán; it surely will be very interesting for us.

Regards.

A beautiful wulfenite, Arash, do you have a certain information on the mine where it is from? I guess the other orange mineral that grows on the wulfenite is mimetite?

P.S. Superb photo quality, too!

A great specimen, very impressive! But you should put it in one thread together with the other one ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=5753 ) instead of opening a topic for each single specimen ;-)

You could show all of your specimens by opening a new thread here in this section:
https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewforum.php?f=22

And looking at the quality of both your specimens and your photos, I'd like to see more from you!

Regards
Tobi

I fully agree with Franjungle, you should introduce yourself, learn something about how this forum works and then share your specimens with us, I already left a comment concerning this in your other epidote thread ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=65184#65184 ) ;-)

And concerning the specimen: Though I'm a collector of classic and aesthetic minerals for many years, I actually never liked epidote, I must confess. I never had one and I'm not even interested in the famous ones from Knappenwand/Austria ... but THIS specimen above, wow, I really really really like that one, simply beautiful! And in my opinion, this one above is even more beautiful than the 17 cm killer specimen in your other thread, the shape and the contrast make it a perfect mineral specimen!

Dear Franjungle,

It's kind of you and thanks for suggesting the forum. I will surely try it.

I have studied Iran minerals for about 20 years and I have collected many fine specimens. In 2011 I founded a private mineral museum on my personal property. In the museum there is a very well equipped gemology laboratory and a studio to cut and polish gemstones and do my artworks. I received a UNESCO award of excellence in 2010. Sometimes I take photos of the minerals and as far as I can I will share them with you.

The name of my museum is Jahanbin and I can share its photo with you.
Thanks again...
Best regards

Dear Tobi

Thanks for your concern.
I like Epidotes a lot and I have brought myself many interesting specimens from the heart of the mountain. I would take you there if you were in Iran;)

Hi Arash, thanks a lot for your introduction! Sadly I don't think that Iran is a realistic destination on my next travel plans, nevertheless thanks ;-) As a western collector I'm interested in the many beautiful minerals that come from Iran, a land that for a long time was of lesser meaning for the mineral world - though it was clear that a country that large and with that geology must have a lot of great mineral treasures. It reminds me a bit of China, that for a long time had no contact to the West, but when it opened itself it flooded the world with an endless amount of great minerals, many of them have set a new standard in quality. And who knows how many hidden treasures there are in the many mountain ranges of Iran! The great wulfenites and cerussites that came out during the last years (though they were known for many decades) were an eye-opener and I guess there are a lot of things to come. So please show us your specimens, I think I'm not the only one here who would like to see more :-)

Regards
Tobi
