Hi everybody
I just would like to tell you short about me. I collected minerals when I was a young boy. Then my hobby went down for a little while. When me and my wife got kids I discovered photography as a new hobby. I then also discovered my old hobby minerals again when I started taking photos of my collection. Due to the fact that we have kids now time and budget is limited for my hobby.

Some more quick infos.
Focus: Famous localities from all over the world in the size range from thumbnail to cabinet. Due to the limited budget of course most of the time in the smaller categories.

I now would like to show you some of the pieces from my collection and I am open for tips and things I can do better. On collecting minerals as well as photography.

So far. Let me know if you have any questions.

I will start with one of my favourites. It is an Epidote from the Söllnkar. That is a spot located two valleys next to the Knappenwand.

Here is another piece I found at the KNAPPENWAND on my own. It was when I was a young boy. At that time it was possible to collect in the dumb of the locality. And I found this very interesting piece (3,2cm high!).

There have been lots of these Wulfenites from Mexico on the market. What I found very interesting was the different style the pieces showed. So instead buying one piece I split my budget and bought three pieces.

Here is another very interesting piece I found on my own. It is Titanite (var. Sphene) on Calcite with a small Epidote and Byssolith. According to the locals this combination is quite rare. The overall size of the piece is about 6cm.

I bought this when I was young. I do not have more detailed information then Antimonite from Tuscany in Italy. Cabinet sized.

Now this is one of the things I like. Matrixpieces with pocket like looking style. I was able to get this for a very good price. Large miniature.

Compared to the price I paid probably one of the best pieces I was able to aquire. A reference sample from the Hilton Mine.

Since Epidote is one of my favorites I will end my first postings with three of those pieces.

Hi ,
Seems this is the second time I see this kind of habit on a rhodo from Peru.
I have baught a similar specimen some years ago, with flat crystals like yours, and I have never seen other similar specimens with flat crystals.

Hi!

Be welcome to this section. You've started with a lot of nice pieces that I think everybody will appreciate. I especially like the wulfenites.

Please, could you provide the size of each one? In the minerals world, as you surely know, that is crucial info. Just post a separate message with that data and I myself will add the size to every photo.

Thanks,
