If the locality is unknown, I try not to add the item to my collection; however, I just could not resist getting this fluorite specimen. It appears to be from Illinois or Tennessee, but I don't know if there is anyway to tell if a specimen is from one State or the other. If anyone has an idea for the possible location where this was found, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.

Agreed...the calcite on the fluorite and the character of the sphalerite matrix scream Elmwood

The person I purchased this from told me they got it in Tucson in 2009. How would you state the location for your collection; i.e., as “most likely” Elmwood?

'they got it in Tucson in 2009' could mean that they bought it at the Tucson Show in 2009...
