A new book titled "Minerals of Britain and Ireland 2009–2024" has been published, offering an essential update for collectors and academics interested in the mineralogy of these Islands. Authored by A.G. Tindle and D.I. Green, this 396-page volume complements the first edition published in 2008, providing a comprehensive and authoritative guide to the mineral species and their localities in Great Britain and Ireland. Meticulously researched and beautifully illustrated, it serves as a valuable resource for both amateur and professional mineralogists. The book is currently available for pre-order at a price of £75.00.

PostPosted: Jul 16, 2025 12:18    Post subject: New book: Minerals of Britain and Ireland 2009-2024 - A Review

This new book, Minerals of Britain and Ireland 2009–2024, covers the discoveries made over the last 20 years in England and Ireland.

In this publication by the Yorkshire Geological Society, Brian Young conveys the quality of the work far better than I ever could. Congratulations to the authors, A.G. Tindle and D.I. Green, and also to the Russell Society for funding and promoting the publication!
