Hey Gail,

just do the same as you did on the last Tucson Show and we will all be happy :-) Your 12 pages of pictures, stories and funny comments comforted everyone who wasn't there in 2009, so please just do the same this year! Looking forward for one more of your wonderful photo stories!

Cheers!

Thank you Tobias, I will certainly continue with the fun! Gail

Joan Massague' came by tonight for dinner and a nice long look at our mineral collection and we had a great time talking "rocks"!

Gail,
Jim,

Thank you for the kind hospitality and for letting me enjoy your amazing collection and your culinary prowess. I would also like to thank Rob Lavinsky for making the introduction.

Joan, it was great fun having you in our home, come again!

Here is something we got in the mail today, just had to put it next to the "live" specimen and take a photo.

Well we are on the road to Tucson...been driving in heavy to light rain since 4 thirty a.m. & it is just after
8 a. m. and we only have 813 miles to go! I won't even bother taking a photo as it is grey & misty & wet. One truck didnt turn as the road did & almost took us out...we were seriously NOT happy about his driving & passed by him when we could.
We are traveling and following fellow MAD member Karl Warning.
Anyhow look for my Tucson photofest starting tonight!

Thank you
Bob! You are most gracious.

We made it last evening, after driving 989 miles. We finally came out of the rain about El Paso way. There were some spots of sun before then, but truly was gone once we were crossing into New Mexico. The mountains were spectacular, and the Franklin mountains were covered with snow on the top, which is always a shock as they are right there, along the US and Mexico border.
We traveled while following Karl, from our MAD group. It made the drive somehow nicer knowing we had a fellow traveler with us.
I will be adding photos tonight.
The Westward Look resort is where we are, at the moment, and I see lots of activity and cars over at the show area. They are opening, just now as I type.
My two faithful cameras are with me, as usual.

I was too tired to post last night, but I thought of all the fun I will be having with reports through the Main show and the very end.
Later everyone!

Much rain on the first part of our trip, but the sun finally came out! Some things along the way...

This portion of the show report is dedicated to Linda Vanegas Smith. She couldn't join us in Tucson this year, so I am sending her my regards and love! WE MISS YOU LINDA!!!
