Wonderful poker chip calcites have been coming out of China over the last several years, many of which appear twinned and show beautiful zoning from colorless transparent to white or gray. I believe Jordi has at least one very good image.

Hello all,
These are all nice pieces. Like I said earlier, I like this kind of post as it creates a place for numerous examples of a particular species to be shown. Like a publication on one mineral.

Finally I had a bit of free time and can contribute one of my own specimens! The lighting isn't ideal and doesn't show that the entire piece is white. I'm not sure exactly form these crystals have (there appear to be 5 sides to each crystal) but because the main crystals are very elongated they impart a "flower-like" the appearance to the specimen. From Daye Copper Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, China. Size is about 13.5 x 7.5 x 4 cm.
