I have a specimen of Cavansite but am unsure of the light colored mineral surrounding it. The crystals seem to small to be calcite or quartz, but I am no expert. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

| This specimen seems to be from the Wagholi quarry in Maharashtra/India, and thus i suppose that these small crystals are heulandite.

Or Stilbite, we would need a closer pic.

| Hard to tell you by this photo. On the doubt, take the proposal of Tobias. Heulandite is more common with Cavansite than the Stilbite.

Hi Lloyd,
You can see mindat.org :
ID 182401-Cavansite with stilbite
ID 328180-Cavansite with Heulandite
ID 102357-Cavansite with Quartz.
I suppose that surrounding crystals are heulandite.
