I could propose to discuss what was solved with few lines in a la Mindat.
Question and answers could be found under my name (lluis, Lluis, or Lluís)
If Calderonite is just the refined formula for heyite, why IMA ccept calderonite?
per protocols, should be called heyite
And more, why both coexists? Are the *same* species.
As Peter says ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=13260#13260 ), things could go from social to scientific, or from scientific to social.... |

Which was described first - heyite or calderonite? The discreditation is in the works already. |

Hi, Alfredo
Heyite was first described 1971
Calderonite in 2001
Then, using the logics and his own protocols (I am cynical), IMA propose to dicredite heyite, the first described one, if I understand well (I have heard that, but now I have read it in Mindat).
Why?
Is that not a form of backslapping?
With best wishes
