Hi everybody, I'm new here (only the last year I sent photos of Expominer 2010) , although frequent participant in the FMF Spanish side. As I never saw here a reportage about the main Spanish Show - Expominer in Barcelona - I would like download here few photos of this Show, just to show what it is and what it happens there. Thank you for your attention, on the next posts I will publish my vision of the last edition of Expominer by images.
Sorry don't write anything else but my knowledge of English language is not enough to write here. A friend translated this text to English language and that's all I can do. Hopefully the images are enough for all visitors of this thread that would like to have a candid vision of a Spanish Show.

Medium size. Of course not so large as Ste. Marie or Munich Show but bigger than other similar Shows, like Paris or Lyon. You can find an extended overview here -> https://www.foro-minerales.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=66329#66329 (in Spanish language but with a lot of images)
BTW, thank you so much to Juan to download these images as well as the images of Sussex Show -> https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=2059
I always felt that we lack this kind of reports in FMF. I'm sure that many FMFers attend Shows in the entire world and is quite easy create a thread and download there some photos. In this way everybody would have a worldwide vision of what happens in the different Shows.
I tried to promote this kind of threads (for example: https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=20152#20152 ) without big success until now, so again, thank you so much Juan, hopefully your example promote much more threads about Shows from the entire world! ;-)

Hi folks, thanks for those impressions!
One question related to Spanish language: I know that mineral names in Spanish end with -a, but i see a label "Aragonito" on one picture. Is it a typing error or are there also mineral names that end with -o in Spanish?

Some are different, the old classic ones, like "Aragonito" instead "Aragonite", "Plata" instead "Silver", "Oro" instead "Gold", "Yeso" instead "Gypsum"... and the IMA accept this unusual names for Spanish language considering the old tradition related with they.

I could not refrain...
If we follow as a rule, that the name is english name, changing end by an a, gold would render a nice "golda", that would soung as a mocking "she fat".
If we used goldita, well, even worse: a non doubting mocking "she little fat" or "she fatty", making even another joke changing r by l, that is used many times...
Try to sell a goldita to a spanish lady, and you will see hell open very quicly... :-)
In the spanish forum we had some nice talks about names....

This year the Expominer Show has been lucky enough to be promoted in the prestigious German magazine Mineralien Welt through the author Tomasz Praszkier who published a full report of this Fair in the magazine's issue of January-February 2012 (23 Jg., Heft 1 - Jan.-Feb. 2012)
Is in German language but I think it could be more or less comprehensible and in any case perhaps some generous person could make a short (or full ;-) synopsis.
