Silvio:
Please, don't forget the unit when writing the specimen sizes. This is a crucial detail. What are they? m, cm, mm, inches?
Thanks,

Sorry Silvio, I'm confused. These specimens belong your collection? If not then maybe better if I move the upper post to your other thread: "Parts that I photographed on a trip to Uruguay this year, not in my collection" -> https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=1522
Thank you.
Jordi

Hi Silvio!
For the FMF Minerals Gallery ( https://www.topminerals.info/ ) to work properly, everybody should fill all the File Comment boxes with, at least, the specimen's species name, and ideally, if possible, with its size and locality as well.

Silvio, welcome to the Forum.
Jordi, Silvio is an old time friend and a serious collector and part-time dealer.
I have some comments about the localities and identifications:
- Photo 1440 - you wrote Mordenite?; the white fibers are mordenite
- Photo 1491 - this beautiful tourmaline with hair-like termination came from Pederneira mine, São José da Safira, Minas Gerais; it was produced on the mid-1990's; on the book "Minerals and Precious Stones of Brazil" there is a photo of a similar piece, from Julio Landmann collection, on page 517 (that came from the same pocket) and another fine specimen, on page 516, from my collection (with more "wild" hairs) .
- Photo 1524 - it is a fluorite with burbankite (not "bourbankite"; it is the tiny needle close to the fluorite); most of the "other minerals" mentioned are analcime crystals; it also came from "Pedreira da Prefeitura" (= Prefeitura quarry), like the specimen from the photo 1543 (that is also burbankite on analcime)
- Photo 7580 - this beautiful eosphorite cluster on rose quartz very likely came from Lavra da Ilha, Itinga, Minas Gerais
- Photo 003 - I think that the inclusions inside the agate might be goethite
Are the specimens shown on the photos 6977 to 7198 from your collection or have you just photographed them at a shop in Uruguay?

Good morning Jordi.
The photos of samples from Uruguay, were taken on a trip I took at the end of the year for purchases of some samples, and visit some mines.
Just posting these pictures because I found these very interesting formations, and how not to appear too often, I thought it would be interesting to post.
So I put intitle, which are not of my collection, would very much be haha .. but unfortunately I have neither the space and the prices were above my expectation. Unfortunately over the lack of space, since all the big pieces that had donated to the museum from USP (University of São Paulo), but was kicked out of my house because my wife loves ..... minerals, especially large specimens .
Regards.

Good morning Menezes.
Thanks for the comments.
As the 1491 photo, the piece was bought from you about 15 years and my wife loved it ..... because he had to bring in the lap of Sao Paulo to Belo Horizonte (600km) on your lap without being afraid to shake break .... lol.
As the number 1440, the principle should be mordenite, as in analysis made by USP (University of São Paulo) gave inconclusive results,
As the 1524 photo, sorry wrong typing, these pieces were collected about four years after closing the quarry Pocos de Caldas.
As the photo 6977/7198, are pieces of amethyst mines owners and are probably at the fair in Tucson, because when they were photographed being prepared for boarding. Unfortunately the prices were unsuitable for me. The largest stalactite with calcite was around U.S. $ 55,000.
Should I go to Belo Horizonte this month and would like to take some tips from amethyst with inclusions so you can identify these inclusions ...
Hug.

OK Silvio, thanks to download them here. I will move them to the other thread: "Parts that I photographed on a trip to Uruguay this year, not in my collection" -> https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=1522 and in that way your collection's thread will reflect which is really your collection and the nice images of the Uruguayan Amethyst will join the other ones already photographed for you.

Menezes, who knows you may see the amethyst around .....
His brother is in Belo Horizonte or this with you.
Should I go to BH before that date and probably will again in April, if anyone out there, leave some samples and I want to buy something there.
