I wish I had more time, Mr. Richards had a fun and witty way of telling stories about the miners and mines, and he was a friend of Mr. Barlows too. Speaking of which, my friend lives right down the road from Barlow's home, when he was still alive and living there....so he drove me by at night, this is the photo I managed to take. Hoping not to scare the current residents!

I joined the Weis N Miners mineral club while there. I think it's nice to support groups when they are so good at making an effort to keep the stories and fun going!

Once again a big thank you for the photos of a museum visit, showing wonderful specimens of Wisconsin. Keep up the great work of showing the love for the mineral hobby to all of us.

Some of my friends wonder at me, going to look at rocks, when I could be doing other things in Wisconsin, but I really do love to see museums full of interesting local specimens, meet local historians and enjoy seeing rocks owned by people who were influential and helped create more interest. I'm a little different than many of my friends that way....
