I recently got into a very nice pocket of included quartz crystals during the Super Bowl in Chatham County, NC. We had a wonderful time extracting and cleaning these finds.

The gallery has Wake and Randolph counties with samples, no mention in the gallery of Chatham County. The link is dead. and yes i did change the "dot" into "."

I had the same problems but was able to find my way there manually.

Well done Scott and co.! I enjoyed that. The clay/gravel where you found these are very similar to some of the areas where we collect in the Western Cape. It is very hot and dry here by us, so the desire to dig crystals has diminished. When the cooler weather comes (or cooler days) , we will get into it again. Thanks for taking us along on your exciting journey. _________________ Pierre Joubert

Thank you. It was certainly a privilege to have such an opportune find. Sharing the experience is almost necessary. _________________ Scott LaBorde |
