John - Adam and Erika spent the better part of a week packing the 4 shipping containers. it was worth the extra time as damage was minimal.
it's a minor miracle that these delicate specimens make it from the mine, across Tasmania to Hobart, shipped to Tucson then ultimately to someone's home.
John Cornish posted many photos of his trip the Adelaide - more excellent viewing.

My flight home from Tucson to Sacramento was one of the most stressful of my life, making sure my new Crocoite was stable and unharmed - and that was with it glued in one of Adams acrylic boxes! I was tempted to buy a seat for it. Made if safely home and now sits in the display case as one of my most prized possessions. And in part I might add because of the wonderful experience in dealing with Adam! |
