If anyone in Tucson wants to see some of my artwork "in the flesh" so to speak, I will be there from the 4th to the 16th, and will have a number of pieces with me. I am booked into the Hotel Tucson City Center - aka the Inn Suites - and I think suite number 721. If you can't find me, check with Adam Wright (Adelaide Mining Co), Jordi (you know where he is!), John Cornish, or Dehne McLaughlin. One of them will see me from time to time! Or else leave a message with reception.

Looking forward to catching up with old friends, and making some new!

Something very different. When I was at Tucson, I met Adam Ramseyer, a very creative jeweller, in the Mighty Gem and Mineral Co room at the Pueblo. Adam owns Ramstar Designs and had one of his latest creations on display, the Star Defender. It includes a tanzanite cut by well-known facetor John Dyer, tourmaline, and other gems. I agreed to give this a go and here is the result...

Amazing, Steve.

Sure beats my dilettantish attempts at photography, not to mention what I'd be able to draw…

Cheers, Gerhard
