In this post and in the next one you'll see that having just one large, superb rhodochrosite from N'Chwaning Mines in a collection would be boring - it's better to have many ;-)

I'm sorry, Vachik, I don't remember a specimen from Iran, at least there's none in my photos :-( The reason may be that Miss Pohl-Ströher gave her magnificent collection to Freiberg in 2008, at this time the good finds from Iran (e.g. wulfenite) weren't yet available for Western collectors. I also recognized that the wonderful fluorites from Huanggang/China were missing among the world-class China collection here, they also came "too late" for this collection. I hope I can comfort you with images of more great stuff from other countries:

I would very much like to see my dream specimen (IMG_1052.JPG) Galenite ps. pyromorphite from the Kautenbach Mine in person.

Michael, I can tell you that this specimen was the best I've ever seen from this maybe most famous pseudomorphs in the world, it measures approx. 12 cm and is simply perfect. But I will post a lot more specimens ... and for my taste, there were much better things than this Kautenbach specimen ... ;-)
