Up at 4:00 am, out the door after loading the car. Dogs were so sad to see us go, but we wanted to beat the traffic in both Dallas and Fort Worth. I had made sure the car was clean, all windows washed. I had taken the car in for an oil change and tire rotation, I'm kind of quirky that way.
Jim and I know it's a 988 mile drive straight through to Tucson, but we manage to enjoy ourselves nonetheless. Our best times are when we chat together, so try as I might to bring audio books, we never even play them. We seem to solve the problems of the world when we spend 14 1/2 hours driving!
Anyhow, it's that time of year again. I want to mention my dear friend, Nathan Reiskin, who was sad he had to leave Tucson, for previous obligations, and will miss some of the great fun, so this is for you Nathan!
So here I sit in my room in Tucson and know it will be an amazing adventure, as always. We have three cases for display at the main show, it will be a challenge !
