He he, your backyard looks pretty similar to ours, rocks, rocks and more rocks; and then I often have to clean those my wife take out too. You must come and visit me so we can go rock hunting. I know many places.

Several prehnites collected awhile ago at the former O&G quarry in Southbury CT.

FYI, fossil bird feathers (and whole birds) occasionally are found in the Florissant (central Colorado) and the Green River formations, as well. They're Eocene in age.

One for all you slag lovers out there. This sample of lechatelierite, was collected at the site of a power line fall, on Quaddick Town Farm Road, Thompson, CT.. Fingers for scale. The outer shell is composed of asphalt grading towards the center of fused sand and pebbles to form this rather large fulgurite.
