Just received the brand-new 50th issue of ExtraLapis, the special editions of Germany's famous mineral magazine Lapis. It is about California, a wonderful edition with many great photos of California's treasures (gold, benitoite, tourmaline etc), supported by good information. The longest article (38 of the 110 pages of the magazine) is written by Jesse Fisher, a wonderful report about the pegmatites of Southern California and their beautiful minerals.

Jesse, you did a great job on that!

I recommend this article to everyone who speaks German. And for the others, even the photos are worth getting this issue ;-)

Hello Tobi,
Last year Tobi Weise approached me about an article for this issue of Extra Lapis. I sent him the manuscript of the article I wrote for Rocks and Minerals several years ago, along with many photos. I never hear anything more from him, and now find out that it is published. I hope it looks good, I have not yet seen a copy!

Cheers,
Jesse

What??? Maybe you should remind Weise, I think a copy (for free) for an author is a matter of course; I guess they just forgot you :-( And yes, it does look good, a great article!

A very minor point but all of my copies of this journal are spelled extraLapis, not ExtraLapis. This is also true for the English editions.
