Thank you Neils. Likewise, I am enjoying your wonderful collection of baryte. It is a pleasure to be able to share our passion for minerals with other collectors on this site.

Hi Michael, what is the white near the termination point of the Oklahoma quartz? Is it inclusions or on the surface?

Hi Pierre,
Actually the white is a reflection of the rhombohedral faces on the back side of the crystal. I should try for a better photo in the future.

Hi Michael, nothing wrong with the picture. I am talking about the white spots near the point.

Hi Pierre,
Oh, those spots! I really hadn't noticed them until you mentioned them. They are not visible when looking at the actual specimen in the hand unless the light is just right. So I looked at the piece closely this morning, and even examined it under a microscope. The spots are definitely on the surface. Probably left over residue from the oxalic acid bath.

Michael,
How did you get the sugar to coat this Mimetite so uniformly? ;-)

Now Don, you know that I can't divulge this secret enhancement technique. Good to hear from you. Hope you and Gwen are well.
