Sometimes I take photos of the minerals and as far as I can I will share them with you.
The name of my museum is Jahanbin and I can share its photo with you.

Great.
As Tobi says, I think I'm not the only one here who would like to see more.

Thanks Jordi. It is a kind of difficult for me to work with this forum. It takes me some time to learn how to use it. |
I merged the posts again, re-named them and moved the whole thread to this "Collection photos and Collector's page" section.

Tobi wrote: | Hi Arash, thanks a lot for your introduction! Sadly I don't think that Iran is a realistic destination on my next travel plans, nevertheless thanks ;-) As a western collector I'm interested in the many beautiful minerals that come from Iran, a land that for a long time was of lesser meaning for the mineral world - though it was clear that a country that large and with that geology must have a lot of great mineral treasures. It reminds me a bit of China, that for a long time had no contact to the West, but when it opened itself it flooded the world with an endless amount of great minerals, many of them have set a new standard in quality. And who knows how many hidden treasures there are in the many mountain ranges of Iran! The great wulfenites and cerussites that came out during the last years (though they were known for many decades) were an eye-opener and I guess there are a lot of things to come. So please show us your specimens, I think I'm not the only one here who would like to see more :-) |
Thanks a lot Tobi. I appreciate your attention and I will surely share more. I am enjoying exchanging information with you.

Locality: Semnan Province | Again a wonderful specimen, Arash, thanks for sharing. But another advice to make the forum and the connected gallery work well: Please use complete locality names instead of just a province. I looked on Mindat for such analcime/barite specimens and it seems as if this one is from
Mount Kahovan, Moalleman, Qohab-e Rastaq, Amirabad District, Damghan, Semnan Province, Iran.
Please use this as locality information, or at least a reduced form:

Thank you :-)

The color of this specimen is a very notable and spectacular among the mimetites of Iran. What makes this specimen very unique is that many of the botryoidal balls have split to two halves and a smaller ball have grown up in the middle. Very fascinating scene .
