Fluorite from Hunan Province, China.

Cuboctahedral purple Fluorite with a circular flat end like a heliport on every pyramid.

The crystals combine the contour of an octahedron with the staggered cubic forms. With highlighted edges as stairs by the cubes.

Hi Firmo!

Hunan is a rather large territory, with 210 000 km² and over 67 million people. Don't you know the precise locality? Did you look it up at Mindat?

Hi Carles.

Always nice to hear from you.

I’ve only seen similar ones forming something like “Aztec pyramids” coming from the Yaogangxian MIne, Yizhang, Prefecture Chenzhou, Hunan Province, China.

But the cubes that form these crystals are smaller and these octahedrons are more accentuated than what I could see from Yaogangxian Mine.

And I haven’t found anything like these heliports at all vertexes.

I really look forward to limit the locality, but I’m just sure of this origin that appears on the label.

Perhaps someone may express their opinion?
