Hello.

Until a few years ago, in a weekly village market, among stalls with fruit, fish, clothes... there was one with costume jewelery with some common minerals for tourists. The owner did not have the slightest knowledge of minerals. On the stall there was always a box full of bits of scrap that he sold at 50 cents each. If you bought more that ten pieces the price went down to 25 cents.
Well, among so many isolated quartz points from Monte Leoni I found (also...) this small treasure at 25 cents.
Needless to say, being a Tuscan mineral collector, I would have been willing to pay for that one-off piece a thousand times as much.

Best regards.

Hello.

I think none of us loves secondary sulphates, mainly because of their perishable nature.
But how can you resist putting crystals like these in a regional collection?
Especially if self-collected.

Warm greetings.
Sante
