Wandering around I came across a very interesting specimen of Brochantite and Azurite that was not from Milpillas but from Touissit Morocco. It was in the booth of Mike Shirley's "Too Few and Precious" Dealership. He had quite a few of these Touissit Azurites plus others that were all reasonably priced.

Next, I came across an "Amethyst Scepter Cave" in the booth of Boris Borussia - amazing this scepter survived extraction - a very stunning piece.

He also had one of the famous "red ball mimetites" recently found at the Rowley Mine in AZ.
Boris said that he is in discussion with the miners and the mine owner for him to be the business arm of the effort. Good luck!

There were also a few of the Milpo emerald green fluorites that were in association with Geocronite (I think)..

A visit to Laszlo Gal's "World of Fine Minerals" booth is always a pleasure and this year he was displaying two new finds out of his home country of Hungary. The first is Chalcedony after Calcite and the other is Heterastridium - see details in the sheets he provided.

Mustafa at his Fine Art Minerals booth had two excellent examples of "Alien Eye" Fluorites from Erongo. VERY few of these around.

He also had a totally unique Moroccan Vanadinite - see photo.

It should be analyzed. Most likely, it's Malachite rather than Brochantite—Malachite that looks like Brochantite, but still Malachite. 😉

Thanks for the great report, Bob!

Today is the day of the Arthur Roe Memorial Micromount Symposium.

More details about this micromineral symposium, as well as my own report of Tucson, can be found here:

Enjoy the read!
Cheers, Herwig

It's been a week since the TGMS "Main Show" closed, and I think I've recovered enough to summarize the display cases and close with a summary.

First off - the numerous displays dedicated to everyone's friend Bob Jones.
