Because this year our attempt to organize a meeting in Tucson of friends of FMF's Forum was largely unsuccessful ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=428 ) we are attempting to set a time and place now for a meeting in Tucson in 2010.
Our tentative date is the 9th of February, between 6-7 PM, at the Casa Vicente restaurant ( https://www.casavicente.com ), which is very close to the Main Show, on Stone at Cushing. It has a big parking lot.

I must admit, when I first read your note I thought, wow, John is sure planning ahead here--why is he jumping all the way to 2010? Then I realized, yes, that is indeed next year. How time flies by--another decade, another show. Awesome. I really had not yet had occasion to even LOOK at a 2010 calendar yet! But now I've got our party date, as well as the show, circled in.

Most of my planning for 2009 and first part of 2010 are done booth privately and professionally but there is still room for improvisations and blitz visits to friends and mines.

I see you took my suggestion to Jordi. Great place, easy location and plenty of parking. We had dinner there this year with about 7 others, and that evening was a highlight for me of this year's show.

I don't want to take too much credit for this, it came about only after being relentlessly pushed, pushed, pushed by Jordi. However, the date looks like a good one and I am told that the restaurant is very good as well.

Tucson is not so far, so this is a good time to refresh the long term idea to do a nice party this year, without the inconveniences we got past year.

Let's go folks! enroll our mesmerizing FMF's party at the Casa Vicente restaurant ( https://www.casavicente.com ), between 6 and 7 PM the Tuesday 9th February in the busiest rocky city in the world: Tucson!

This time the Gods seems to smile us, the Kristalle's party will runs the 9 February too, but from 7 PM until...so, you can start with FMF and finish in Kristalle. Best venues for the funnier people!!!! ;-)

Please letting us know here, using a post, if you suppose attend this FMF's party just to organize a little bit the Vicente's stay, Hic!

Jordi -- Please don't schedule it for Monday! UKMV is opening the Bluebell at our rooms for an English pub night, which means Jesse and I can't make it.

Well, not too much choices, maybe Wednesday 10th between 6-7, considering that the set up of the show cases in the Main will be at Tuesday, so people maybe will have free time on Wednesday evening against what happened past year.

We will do it democratic, please if you suppose assist to the tremendous FMF's party, please publish in this thread a post telling us if you prefer Monday 8th February 6-7 PM, Wednesday 10th February 6-7 PM or if you don't care about one or other.

Until 1st February we will leave the list open and then I will sum up all votes and the most voted wins!

In some way it will be fun too, we will know (more or less) who will attend to the party and their thoughts...

For the moment we have Jesse and Joan votes (2) for Wednesday 10 and 1 vote (mine) for Monday 8. Starting the race...;-)
