I have a specimen of Cavansite but am unsure of the light colored mineral surrounding it. The crystals seem to small to be calcite or quartz, but I am no expert. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

This specimen seems to be from the Wagholi quarry in Maharashtra/India, and thus i suppose that these small crystals are heulandite.

Or Stilbite, we would need a closer pic.

Hard to tell you by this photo. On the doubt, take the proposal of Tobias. Heulandite is more common with Cavansite than the Stilbite.

Hi Lloyd,
You can see mindat.org :
ID 182401-Cavansite with stilbite
ID 328180-Cavansite with Heulandite
ID 102357-Cavansite with Quartz.
I suppose that surrounding crystals are heulandite.
