Hello everyone! Jim and I are loading up our display minerals and heading out, early in the morning, to drive to Denver for the Gem and Mineral Show.
We recently hosted a "Brunch with a Crunch" with 312 of our favorite mineral friends, and then a gathering this past weekend with more mineral friends including Peter and Nadya Lyckberg who flew in for a Beatles themed bash. ( You know, yeah yeah yeah, she loves you yeah yeah yeah.. ) All good fun, but now it is time to get down to the next adventure, Denver.

Armed with a new camera, a Sony, and my reliable and wonderful Nikon D90, I am ready to take lots of photos!

I am also happy to announce that I am proclaimed Cancer Free! I have some surgery coming up in mid October, to reconstruct, but it is all so much easier knowing that early detection and chemo, surgery worked to fight that particular demon. I am a happy woman again! So....keep checking in. And thanks to Jordi for his support!

Thank you Gentlemen. Sipping coffee and petting on all my dogs as I sit here, at the computer. They saw my suitcase, they know I am off to another adventure. The cat just gave me a disinterested look, isn't that how they remind you that they are, after all, cats?
Luckily our helpers will pamper them nicely. EVEN the cats.
It's looking like colder temps in Denver, time to pull out sweaters and jackets! See some of you there, and I will do my report with those people who aren't able to go.

hi Gail! I'm also so glad you are Cancer Free! Some ten years ago my mother took the same disadventure as you. After a short but heavy radiotherapy treatment she got cancer free as well, and now she still is! Every six months she has to submit herself to prevention analyses, but... so far so good!!!
I'm Always waiting for you and Jim here in Italy! And we can also go anywhere and look for minerals all together!!!

95 degrees at our home when we left, the usual hot.
Jim and I are good companions for traveling.
We can talk the whole way, nice to be married to your

Great news Gail. Glad to hear/read that you are cancer free. This is just GREAT news!!

And you're entertaining again, getting back into the mineralogical aspect of things. Wish I could be there in Denver to see you and Jim. Guess I'll just have to be content to live the experience vicariouswly through your report(s).
