Salut Fred,
Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I was about to post mine, but yours are better. About the Epidotes, they were found in March 2009 and brought to Ste Marie by Watzl minerals from Austria. Unfortunately, not all the specimens came out unrepaired as the explosive blast used to clean the access to the pocket damaged some of them.
To complete Ploum's posts, here are two more. The first one is for me the best which was for sale. The second one is less impressive, but with a combination of epidote, byssolith, calcite and apatite (at the back), it has all the major species that can be found in the area of the discovery.

After visiting the theatre, it was time to discover the dozens of rows where dealers from all over Europe sold specimens ranging from a few euros to several hundreds and sometimes even more. A paradise for beginners and others who were looking for new specimens to had to their collections...

I've been surprised by the number of visitors on that Thursday. It was smaller than the previous years. Can we see here a consequence of the crisis striking Europe right now ? While I was writing this conclusion I received a good news from Jordi : the organisation got a clearance from the authorities. The show will take place again at Ste Marie next year. Let's hope it will be as good as this year.
As Ploum & parfaitelumiere already did, if you have pictures and/or comments of your own about the show, fell free to post then in this thread.
That's all folks.

Hi Chris,
great photos! .... and thanks for sending me the pic of Jordi and myself. Just posted a 'report' at mindat
https://www.mindat.org/blog.php/643/First+blog+ever+-+Ste.+Marie+show+2009
dunno if the link will work, maybe Jordi has to 'normalize' it but i wouldn´t like to write it again for the forum here so i hope it will be ok to be linked here.
Was a great experience and a pleasure to meet you all,
cheers
Roger

Premium space in the Theatre - we've already seen many of the French Fluorites in better shots than mine, so I'll limit myself to one of the items from Ste Marie's local mining history.

And finally, a tiny tiny selection of just a few of the many items I looked at but did _not_ buy and carry home.
I went away with about 6kg in books, an UV lamp, a small digital scale, two toy Ulexites (polished - sorry;) ) which will be de-accessioned soon to my nieces and nephews, and twenty-four specimens proper, which will gradually find their way into their own thread here. Stretched my budget, but good value.
And of course, meeting many nice people and seeing many interesting things in person and up close are priceless!

Hi Roger,
Your link is fine, all links to Mindat are permitted in FMF.
BTW, if by chance you still have some extra photo and you wish to publish here, it would be great.. This post is becoming really luxurious, some of your photos will make it still better! ;-)
To the people who want to know more, they also have my daily reports about the Show and its novelties: https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?t=644

Hi Gail,
Glad you liked. I still have a few more pictures for you...
Roger,
Glad to meet you in person, still thanks for the great German beer we enjoyed together.
Gerhard,
Great addition, you happened to take pictures of almost everything I forgot or didn't have time to photograph. If you have other pictures, they are welcomed.
